Confusion between Ruby and Spinel in Spectroscopic Analysis

Polariscopes (available in the KRÜSS Shop: PK11-LED Portable Polariscope, PK14-LED Benchtop Polariscope) allow you to observe the optical properties of stones and quickly identify common gemstone imitations. The Ruby Filter makes some stones appear to have a different color and helps in the evaluation of gemstone lots. KRÜSS dichroscopes ( LD10 and HD10) allow for the observation of direction-dependent polychromy in transparent gemstones. When viewed, the device shows whether both images are identical, two colors are visible or even three different colors are visible.
