The Tucson Gem Show is the largest, oldest and most prestigious gem and mineral show in the world.
News February 2022: This year’s theme was “The show that glows”. For over 60 years, this Tucson Gem & Mineral Society show has been a very special event. In January and February, researchers, gemmologists, authors, artists, gemstone prospectors and almost 4,000 trading companies from all continents of the world meet here – they all share a fascination for the world of gemstones and minerals.
The GJX event in Arizona’s Sonoran Desert is so significant because it is where professionals and mineral enthusiasts share their treasures, knowledge and experience with tens of thousands of visitors. Les Presnyk (TGMS President 2020) believes the special mission of the show is also about bringing the “treasures of this earth” more closely to children. Tucson presents spectacular gems
The fine treasures will be displayed in more than 40 locations across the city. The world’s incredible gemstones and minerals can be seen in giant circus tents, exhibit halls, hotels and warehouses. On exhibit are polished, rough rocks and fossils of every hue, as well as every kind of faceted gem you could imagine. At least, Tucson is the place to see the world’s most spectacular gemstones.
A.KRÜSS-Team in Tucson
Last year the show was unfortunately suspended due to pandemic. This year we were there again. As a specialist who provides gemologists all over the world with high quality equipment, the GJX event is of course an absolute must for our A.KRÜSS team.
In all, the event runs for over three weeks. We were there from 1 February to 6 February. We not only brought our new web shop to the event, we also had a completely new booth. Next year the event will take place from 31.1.- 5.2.2023.
